Lots of yellowfin tuna and a 200 pound bigeye tuna

Check out the daily catches at the Ocean City Fishing Center!

Wind picked up tonight and looks to be blowing a bit tomorrow, but it shouldn’t be too bad so we’ll probably still see some fishing. Fewer boats and a little chop made the tuna break better today and most boats had a few and some had more.

East Coast Construction’s Chris Kavanah was fishing at Ocean City Fishing Center today and had a great day trolling offshore. The crew teamed up for six yellowfin tuna and a very nice 219 pound bigeye tuna. Thanks to Dave Messick and the Fishing Center for the photos!

RoShamBo’s Captain Willie Zimmerman had a good day of trolling today with a blue marlin outing, yellow fin tuna and a bunch of tilefish for his crew as well.

Captain Chris Little on Talkin’ Trash put some yellowfin tuna on the dock at the Ocean City Fishing Center this afternoon much to the delight of his crew.

Anglers aboard the Marli with Captain Mark Hoos returned to Sunset Marina with smiles on their faces after putting a heap of yellowfin tuna in the fish box.

Private boat Bar South fishing from Sunset Marina also found yellowfin tuna today.

Morning Star Captain Monty Hawkins worked and worked today and strummed some bass for his homies.

A worrying day from the start; mixed forecast ranging from a bit of windy weather to near hell and damnation. The reality was SSW in the middle of upper adolescence; fishable anyway.

We dropped blocks and a pair of pyramids then ran some more.

We fished

and fished

and fished.

Not much grip. Lots of fishing. My friend Jack’s charter too; one of our strongest reef supporters! ..left 40 minutes early, home two hours late, and I barely could smell a pan for them.

To hell with luck!

I caught some pretty ones though; Brett’s pool winner in particular.

Pose tomorrow for the weather. Let the boys howl at the moon. See if the bar will come back for me in good weather on Sunday and Monday.

Cheers,

Monty
