Fishing Report: Plenty of Mahi Mahi Near You
By RJ Boyle | Collaborating columnist
I am writing this fishing report from the vessel “Lisa B” of the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club. We just found a nice piece of debris floating in 138 feet of water off Boca Raton. Mahi fishing has been absolutely crazy over the past week as boats regularly post double digit numbers. This weekend, you probably won’t have to go far to find the fish. Please check the weather on Friday as we might get a bit windy on Saturday and Sunday.
We just talked to the Hillsboro Inlet “bounce” with Captain Norm and he’s already sailed four wahoo this morning and it was only 9am. The fishing is off the chain and I highly suggest you take your boat out or hire a charter.
Further offshore swordfish fishing slowed down a bit on Tuesday and Wednesday, but we might try this afternoon, so contact us for a fishing report or tune in to The Paul Castronovo Show on 105.9 FM at 6:40 am on Friday for an update. .
